Freedom

free·dom

/ˈfrēdəm/

noun

  1. the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.

Who knew how powerful one word could be? Freedom. As the world’s technology advances, we’ve become far more connected thanks to it. Where there are benefits to that statement, there are also issues as well. Because we are so connected, it is easy to spread both hate and love. Unfortunately, many will never know how it feels to be loved.

The best solution that I found is self-love. When we were born, we were born with everything that we will ever need. Majority of my life, I searched.

Searched for validation from others.

Respect from others.

Things from others.

Power from others.

Love from others.

I demanded more from the world than what I demanded from myself. Then one day I realized, God gave me everything that I needed. I just didn’t see it.

Greed (from The Seven Deadly Sins) by James Todd

greed

/ɡrēd/

noun

  1. intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, things, or food.

How selfish of me. I had everything that I needed, but I still demanded more. And because I did not get what I asked for, I grew bitter and made the world my enemy.

How dare they disrespect me!
Don’t they know who I am!
They’ll regret ever crossing me!
It wasn’t until I challenged myself to fall in love with myself that these types of thoughts didn’t control my life. Once I finally completed the challenge, I knew how it felt to love others.

I wonder, is this what it’s like to be free? No more burden or judgment on me.

“Just be yourself.” Matter fact, it’s free. In fact, being fake costs a fee.

Now let me ask you, what’s the price for your soul? Trust me, it’s not enough for you to pay that toll.

And if it’s traffic, then you’re on the wrong road. Because living free will never stop your flow.

Trust me, I’m a living testament. There’s no estimate, for what freedom gives. There’s no price to live, when you let go of all your fears. Now worry disappears and victory volunteers. Cheers!

Now Greed will tell you, “that’s not the way to go.” “Get money, get cars, get clothes.” “There’s nothing in this world better than gold.” “Now do what you’re told!”

Ha! Those are funny statements and they are no replacement for what God has placed this purpose to say this, “you are to face this & tell Greed, “dismissed!”

We have everything we need. There’s no need for greed.
We have everything we need. There’s no need for greed.
We have everything we need. Thank God we’ve been freed.

We have everything we need. Thank God we’ve been freed.
