Tighten Up!

Have you ever been so focused on accomplishing a goal that you believe nothing will stop you?

You write it down, make your plan, and even set your alarm. You have it all in your head, You can see it as plain as day.

You’ve been patient enough.

As you lay your head down, you envision the level of productivity you’re about to show the world. What could go wrong?

Sloth (from The Seven Deadly Sins) by James Todd

Now it’s time to seize the day! Until you hear that little voice in your head.

“You don’t have to start today. You already have the plan in your head. Waiting one more day won’t hurt.”

“That is true,” you say as you negotiate with Sloth, “I could relax for today.”

“Exactly! Have a seat for a while.”

Uh oh! It’s begun. You take a seat for a second and then ask yourself, “How is it next year already?!”

dil·i·gence

noun

/ˈdiləjəns/

careful and persistent work or effort.

Like all things, you have to practice working hard to master hard work. No matter what job you have, goal you want, activity you try, you will no receive the most out of it until you invest the most you can into it.

The world will never see what we’re capable of unless we put in the work to reach the height of our potential. What a waste it would be if the world was never blessed with your gifts.

Enough negotiating with Sloth! It’s time to tighten up.
